been ages since i posted - either doing schoolwork or avoiding schoolwork or my hand hurts too much from deleting emails at work to post at home! trying to decide what kind of windows my sunroom should have - sliders or doublehungs - want as much view as possible but also some breezes and i like the idea of top and bottom breezes - side to side might make me too cold hmmm tough choices here - need to book my room for hershey park or else we will be crashing with sam and i don't think she wants to sleep on the couch lol and 3 weeks until maine! yeah so i guess i should actually get the school work done so i can go on vacation! |

well, my son will be 30 years old tomorrow - where has this time gone? he is all grown up - responsible, married, hard working (very) computer genius and anime fan - taller than i would have imagined and the sweetest heart of anyone - takes a lot to get him mad but once you do - watch out!~~ i love him lots and enjoy what little time together we have. happy birthday baby boy! |

well josh and martha are finally married and still talking two months later -lol had a little bday party for hubby - had the big one last year before he fell 'over the hill' so this one was just kids and some friends and family - his brother stopped by and it was such a nice surprise, went and brought his wife back over and we all had fun
burned the firepit all day - this is a good thing - enjoyed it much

still in school hate 5 week classes - not enough time to think about what i read - rush the paper and can't absorb all i need to - but alternative is too long for me!
planted lots of trees and bushes - one pine looks kind of sad - need to figure out what it needs |

hard to believe it is july already - josh is scheduled to get married in 6 weeks and i have no dress yet - oh well, things will fall into place - i decided i wanted to redo my kitchen before the wedding (since i will have people staying here) so i have been packing everything up and now realize - aint no way this is gonna be done in time! lol oh well again - we will do our best - at least we know what cabinets we are getting- i think - : ) but took today off to catch up with things, had nice visit with josh and then his girl stopped by after work - didn't realize the time - he has to work in the am - sorry kiddo - but it was a nice visit - good social day, talked to my sister for a bit - long time since we spoke, and found out about a local contractor i want to ask about a garage - after my sister in law's hugely successful renovations - i am getting brave

i just finished my first accounting class and did reasonable well with it - i have had the teacher before so i knew what he expected - i am in managerial accounting now and the teacher is the CFO for Doylestown hospital and is a good speaker but moves through the material quickly - we shall see - and i am trying to catch up with my insurance classes that i take through work - why do i have so little to read and process when i am not busy at work and so much to read and process when i am running busy crazy at work - lol welcome to the real world i guess - my baby sister is moving away - just a few miles but it is really a whole different world away - i hate driving 95 or the blvd and that is how i have to get to her house -oh well another challenge - i don't mind driving 25 miles into jersey but into philly? now that feels really alien to me! starting to plan my trip to branson in may - hopefully the weather is nice, my sister in law is making some plans i think and we also plan to do some hiking along the lake and dinner on the paddleboat - and i suppose at some point i will have to go out and find something to wear for my son's wedding - ~~sigh~~ why can't i just wear a work outfit? and i have to remember how to slow dance! and get used to the idea of having my picture taken- lots of times - that is harder than it would seem - oh well enough for now - one more thing - my old favorite restaurant that had been flooded is due to reopen next weekend! yea - can't wait hope my favorite cook comes back |

well - it is official now - i am enrolled in Holy Family University Accelerated Program - my first class starts in may 31 and i bought one of my books and ordered the other one - this is definately going to be interesting - i need to have office for Mac put on my laptop (yes -josh's prized titianium power book is in my hands) so i can write during my down time where ever i am i am excited and motivated - and i need to be - this is a very reading and writing intensive class schedule and this first class is one i am not very comfortable with - my next one is business - but i will not be the only one winging it in this class at first - soooo wish me luck and the ability to create 32 hours of work in 24 hour day and still sleep in on the weekends! see ya
oh yeah -bigger news than that - josh is really graduating on thursday (and hubby did not know that i planned on making this an all day thing!- now this is going to get very interesting!) |

good news so far - all good for the stress test - so where is the warm weather? i know i know no association whatsoever - oh well who cares! i am trying to get accepted to a local well -known university so that i can continue my education and get my bachelor degree - i am going for business administration - i think i want my concentration to be in project management - for 2 very good reasons - first - that field pays pretty good and there are always job openings and second - IT LETS ME TELL EVERYONE WHAT TO DO and they HAVE TO LISTEN TO me!!!!!!!! and then i can tell the boss we will not meet our schedule and add 2 months to the project and everyone will be so happy because i did not add 6 months! >>>> bwahaahahhahhha <<<< evil laugh say i! ok i am in a very good happy mood - and i won the door prize from the open house for the college - so i have a tshirt and a new coffee mug (which i actually needed) way cool - more later - must start making notes for my writing sample - they need to see if i can write a sentence and spell! oh boy this is gonna be a tough one - no email spellings! more later! |

one of my sisters had a heart attack a few weeks back and it appears to be a hereditary condition- so it was suggested we get checked -~~ so i go make the dr appt and he says 'sure lets do a stress test' not what i wanted to hear - i want to hear 'it is ok - go eat ice cream' which is what i went home and did that day!
decided husband and i should both be checked so today was the big day
- sorry folks - that is why a nor'easter hit us and dumped rain and snow down upon my freezing head! anyway ... it was an interesting experiance -great tech staff - explained every step they were doing and why (at least as much as i care) took me 6 minutes to get my heart rate up to where he wanted - not sure if that was good or bad - and then i had a echo cardiogram done - that was cool - ultrasound of my heart - i only could see a bit of the pictures but it was really really neat to see my heart chambers and watch my valves open and close and the blood swishing thru - almost like watching the discovery channel but i was wearing in a silly paper robe instead of warm jammies! basically they told me nothing obvious jumped out and they would let me know in a few days - followup with dr is 2 weeks so i am not going to worry about it until they tell me i should! but definately going to be an ice cream evening too - i get the feeling that a real exercise program is in my future so i will enjoy my last few days as a slug! more later..... |

finally we have arrived at the treasure coast of florida after a whirlwind time of visiting family (very nice time with all- worth the effort to travel down here) and a eating trip around the world at epcot and pigging out on strawberry shortcake at the plant city annual strawberry festival (also a fun day) -- we are resting up so we can go visit a nature preserve and hopefully mel fishers museum and the mclarty museum to see shipwreck treasure (and maybe some pirate booty as well!) maybe even do a little metal detecting to look for treasure of our own! more details to come! |

almost packed - we used duffel bags instead of suitcases - and are taking a lot less (i think) will know when it all does or does not fit in the trunk! and of course - since i am heading to florida - they are heading into a cold front - 80 degrees today - 60 when i get there! better 60 in florida than anything at work - yes - firstborn son of mine - i am getting ready to sleep before my big adventure - more later!! VACATION TIME |

finally going to florida again!
getting to visit lots of family and go to disney and the strawberry festival and look for shipwreck treasure on the treasure coast and stay on an island in georgia and look for ghosts and eat lots of good food and have no alarm clock or desk or morning route 1 traffic or anything for 10 days!! yippee!! yes kiddos - i will miss you while i am gone but i am only a cellphone call away! i promise i will load pics when i come back |

omg my kids are coming for thanksgiving - i actually have to cook a real meal and find seats for everyone - should be interesting - not so much the cooking part - i am pretty good at winging that but finding seats in my little rabbit warren will be a challenge - lets hope for 70 degree weather so we can eat at the picnic table outside ! : ) i am looking forward to having people over again.
few weeks ago - i had a nice meal with my ex-sister-in-law//(still my adopted sister) and her fiance - very tasty and appreciated by all - he made a great apple pie - yum made me excited about when i get to return the dinner favor
i had a little mini-vacation last week and tried to look at a house to buy but it was under contract - shame - it was pretty easy to get to but off the beaten track as well i really like parts of the delaware water gap national park - especially the jersey side - want a great meal = go find the WALPACK INN - you think you are in the middle of nowhere (and you are) but the food and the building are fabulous. beautiful area but the locals are mixed between pleasant and completely rude and ignorant - oh well, just like here!

i am excited - my niece is coming up for the weekend -yah!! i don't know what we are going to do but it will be fun to have a kiddo around again (at least one that doesn't drive yet!) i hope to have some cool things figured out by the time she gets here - if not, we are going to go check out the park and the lake and see what is happening with all the spring things around here - she can help feed the birds and chase the squirrels - fun for us not for them! we will drag out all of my big kiddo's old Legos and build things - she likes to build boats - she used to live on one (since she was born!) it will be nice to spend a couple of minutes with her mom too - we are all so busy and like most families, it gets harder to get together casually - my sister will be bringing her little grandson over too so i will have a houseful-- monday i may be glad to go to work! |

i got to talk and see josh this morning LIVE from Toyko! (where it was late at night and early am for me) it was so cool - the first time i used the web cam ( i also saw martha - good morning sweetie) i hadnt realized how much i missed him - especially since it is almost his birthday i took a picture of us talking i really love my new computer and am so glad he finally shamed me into buying it! he looks good and sounds good - hope he did well in his midterms |

we just got home from 10 days in tucson arizona - it hasnt rained in 4 months there and the temps were in the 60's & 70's - beautiful landscapes i thought it was almost perfect - the tucsonians (yeah they call themselves that) thought it was too warm - - i found out so much about the area and was just in total bliss with all the mountain ranges and skies - i got 2 stunning pics of the sunset right before we left - i will try to add them - i actually missed my computer! but that was all - still had snow on the ground here when we got here and i am running my furnace like crazy. |
